A method for controlling a remote controller by using a personal computer which remotely controls an operation of an uninterruptible power supply system and monitors an operation state thereof is disclosed. In the method, a communication form with a main control section(10) is determined and a key location processing routine is performed so that a key location is displayed and a key inputting and a receiving interrupt are discriminated. When the receiving interrupt is performed, information from the main control section(10) is received. The received information is discriminated and displayed. It discriminates what key is inputted. When up and down select keys are inputted, the key location is raised and lowered by one line, respectively.
