<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display device having no unnecessary reflection from a source wiring which reduces quality of screen display. SOLUTION: A reflectance is made low for a source wiring 5 not to act as a reflection electrode, or a layer 51 of a lower reflectance material than a picture element electrode 8 is formed, for example, on the source wiring 5 between the picture element electrodes next to each other to prevent reflection from occurring in the direction of screen display. Also, for example, a potential control means is provided between the source wiring 5 and a liquid crystal 9 to reduce field leakage itself from the source wiring 5 to the liquid crystal 9. As a result, contrast and screen display quality are improved.</p> |
