<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the network monitor system adopting the automatic report system in which information is quickly collected and congestion is prevented even when many equipments to be monitored are in existence. SOLUTION: A monitor 11 monitors whether or not number of reception packets to be processed exceeds its own processing capability, and sends a transmission enable packet to each monitored device MS at a prescribed time interval when the number of reception packets is within the processing capability, and the monitor 11 does not send the transmission enable packet when the processing capability is exceeded. Furthermore, each device to be monitored MS, on the occurrence of data required to be reported to the monitor 11, generates an automatic report packet and sends it to the monitor 11. Moreover, each device to be monitored MS is provided with a counter 203 counting number of transmission packets to be sent to the network and a counter controller 204 resetting the counter every time a transmission enable packet is received from the monitor 11, and sends a transmission packet so long as the count of the counter 203 is less than the transmission maximum number, and limits number of transmission packets when the count exceeds the transmission maximum value.</p> |
