<p>To find out a new pharmacological activity of 1,3-dialkylurea derivatives in the ophthalmic field. A glaucoma remedy which comprises as the active ingredient a compound represented by general formula (I) or a salt thereof: wherein R1 represents carboxy or ester thereof; R2 represents hydrogen, lower alkyl, or hydroxy; R3 represents lower alkyl; R4 represents carboxy or ester thereof; R5 represents an aromatic group; and A represents lower alkylene. The compound is especially preferably one represented by formula (I) in which R?1, R2, R3, R4 and R5¿ represent carboxy, hydroxy, isobutyl, carboxy, and naphthyl, respectively, and A represents methylene.</p> |
