PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner which generates little NOX in high temperature combustion and also little CO in red flame combustion by employing no burner tiles for a chamber wall. SOLUTION: The burner comprises a chamber wall made of a heat-resistant metal material and air is preheated in an air channel on the outer periphery thereof, so that the air is sufficiently raised in temperature to generate little NOX in high temperature combustion and little CO in red flame combustion. In addition, the chamber wall is cooled by the air channel formed on the outer periphery thereof, so that it is possible to employ the heat-resistant metal material instead of the burner tiles. |
