PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cordless telephone equipment capable of miniaturizing the equipment and reducing costs by reducing the capacity of a power source circuit in a base unit. SOLUTION: A base unit 1 has a power source circuit 16 for AC/DC conversion, a changeover switch SW for inputting, switching and outputting a DC voltage, a charging circuit 18 for charging a handset battery 24, a base unit radio part 15 for transmitting/receiving a radio signal, a base unit connection detecting circuit 19 for detecting the connection of the output side of the charging circuit 18 and the handset battery and a base unit control part 10, a handset 2 has a handset radio part 23 for transmitting/receiving a radio signal, a handset connection detecting circuit 25 for detecting the connection of the output side of the charging circuit 18 and the handset battery and a handset control part 20 and when data exchange with the handset 2 is performed successfully after the connection with the battery is detected, the base unit control part 10 stops the supply of power to the base unit radio part 15 within a prescribed time and outputs a charging current from the charging circuit 18. |
