PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a remote controller which can expand the use of an IC card remarkably without increasing expenses. SOLUTION: In remote controllers 10a, 10b, 10c, the following are installed; a memory interface which is connected with a data part in the IC card when memory chips 12a, 12b, 12c are mounted, a memory control part which can read data in the data part and write data in the data part, a remote control circuit connected with the memory control part, a system control part for controlling the memory interface, the memory control part, and the remote control circuit, and a means for transmitting self identification information or identification information of the IC card to a television receiver 100 as an apparatus to be controlled, before a control signal is transmitted. |
