PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel of an active matrix driving system which can improve a light shielding performance of a switching element such as a TFT to back light, etc., from a below side thereof and a switching characteristic of the switching element. SOLUTION: When a light shielding layer 3, a first interlayer insulating layer 41, a channel layer 32, a gate insulating film 33 and a gate electrode 31 are successively formed on a first substrate 1, a surface part of the first interlayer insulating layer 41 is removed by etching by a prescribed thickness as shown in a process (3) and then the channel layer 32 is formed on the etched first interlayer insulating layer 41 as shown in a process (4). |
