PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a recording density by reducing the thickness of a recording medium. SOLUTION: This optical recording device is provided with a light generating means for generating a light projected to a recording medium 1 using a magneto-optical effect, light converging means 41 and 43 for converging lights generated by the light generating means on the recording medium 1, and a field generating means 42 for generating a magnetic field to be applied to the recording medium 1. An optical path of a light converged on the recording medium 1 is formed so that a diameter formed in the field generating means 42 includes a through-hole 55 of 150μm or less.
