PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power circuit which can consume changes accumulated in a smoothing capacitor in a short time, without using a resistor for discharging and a circuit for exclusive discharging circuit, at breaking of a main power source, and a method for breaking the power circuit. SOLUTION: Each transistor 1-6 is controlled so that it fixes the switching mode of an inverter 10 to one of switching modes in which an upper transistor 8 and a lower transistor 9 are both on, at break of the battery 12 which is, a main power source, and the discharge currents of a smoothing capacitor 13 are made to flow to the stator coils 14u, 14v, and 14w of a motor 14. |
