The invention relates to host cells that contain at least two functional recombinant polypeptides, at least one of which is bound to a substrate, preferably each one in different cell compartments, for example, the cytosol , the cytoplasmic membrane, the periplasm and the outer membrane. The inventio n also relates to a method for producing said host cells. The inventive cells are especially useful as bioreactors for carrying out enzymatic reaction cascades for which a compartmentalization of individual enzymes is advantageous or required. |
