PURPOSE: Provided is an alkali-free glass excluding alkali metal oxides and MgO, which is used for TFT-LCD, display glass and photo-mask requiring high heat-resistance, low coefficient of thermal expansion and low density. CONSTITUTION: The alkali-free glass comprises 57-61wt.% of SiO2 as a network former, 16-18wt.% of Al2O3 to raise a strain point, 8-11wt.% of B2O3 as a flux, 3-4.5wt.% of CaO, 1-5wt.% of BaO, 5-8wt.% of BaO, 0.1-3wt.% of ZnO. The alkali-free glass has 2.6g/cm3 of density, 38x10¬-7/deg.C of coefficient of thermal expansion and more than 660deg.C of strain point.
