PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance functional reliability of a camera shutter device while achieving the miniaturization and cost reduction of the device. SOLUTION: The device is provided with an aperture blade 50 which is arranged so as to move the aperture part 30a between a stop-down position and a retreat position and a shutter blade 40 which is arranged so as to move the aperture part between the opening position and the closing position. The device is provided with a single electromagnetic driving source 60 and a spring 7 which function as a driving control mechanism for the shutter blade 40 and the aperture blade 50, and in the case the shutter blade 50 is positioned at the stop-down position, the movement of the shutter blade 40 to the closing position is controlled by the spring 7, and also, the movement control of the blade 40 is released by the spring 70 in accordance with a driving force equal to or exceeding a prescribed level outputted from the electromagnetic driving source.
