SERIES OF REDUCTION GEARS, AND COUPLING STRUCTURE FOR REDUCTION GEAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a reduction gear series that is flexibly adaptable to the conditions of a mating machine and to its own conditions such as a reduction gear ratio. SOLUTION: The series of reduction gears includes a plurality of reduction gears each having a planetary reducer of a simple planetary gear structure and an orthogonal reducer of an orthogonal transmission structure with a pair of bevel gears into which the rotative power of the planetary reducer is inputted. The orthogonal reducers in the reduction gears constituting the series are prepared in two or more types with mutually different input-side mounting surface dimensions T independently of output-side mounting surface dimensions S of the planetary reducers. The planetary reducer in a specific one of the reduction gears is combinable with at least two orthogonal reducers mutually different in the input-side mounting surface dimensions T from among the orthogonal reducer group having the two or more types prepared, via the interposition of a given cylindrical joint flange with an input-side and an output-side coupling surface at opposite ends.
