PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methane fermentation treating method capable of preventing the removal of organic fatty acids from a membrane-separated liquid to the vapor phase side in an ammonia removing step and to provide a treating apparatus. SOLUTION: Since an organic fatty acid neutralizing unit 3 in which a strong base is added to a membrane-separated liquid is disposed between a membrane separating unit 2 and an ammonia removing unit 5, organic fatty acids in the membrane-separated liquid are converted to neutralized salts by neutralization to lower the volatility and the acids are not removed to the steam side in the subsequent ammonia removing unit 5. When a deammoniated liquid freed of ammoniacal nitrogen is subjected to methane fermentation, the lowering of the recovery rate of methane is not caused. Since the pH of the membrane- separated liquid rises by the addition of the strong base, the removal rate of ammonia in the ammonia removing unit 5 is increased. |
