PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch which can reduce the manufacturing cost and the weight and besides makes efficient and easy execution of fitting work, while it can ensure engagement and retention of two relatively movable members at a prescribed position. SOLUTION: A partially spherical or substantially spherical engaging part is molded integrally in a fitting tube part made of a synthetic resin which is fitted and retained in a supported part formed in one of the two relatively movable members. When the two members move to the prescribed position of engagement, the engaging part engages with a recess to be engaged which is provided in the other member, while it is deformed elastically with contact with the other member.
