PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the charge of communications by reducing the amount of data when e-mail are transmitted. SOLUTION: When an e-mail is transmitted from a portable terminal, an ID code for identification of a fixed format is attached thereto. A mail server, when receiving the e-mail, reads the fixed format pre-registered in a fixed format storage part 105, by searching from either the mail address of the transmitter or the ID code of the transmitter which is attached to the e-mail received. Mail data from the portable terminal is inserted into an insertion part designated within the fixed format and is transmitted to the destination as a combined e-mail.
