摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of improving safety, while realizing a high output, in particular, high output at low temperatures. SOLUTION: A positive electrode mix layer is formed, by evenly applying a positive electrode mix containing lithium manganate, having a spinel structure which has an average diameter of 5-20 μm, scale-like graphite and polyvinylidene fluoride to a collector. The vacancy volume in the positive electrode mix layer is adjusted to 25-35%, with respect to the volume of the positive electrode mix layer. A negative electrode mix layer is formed by evenly applying a negative electrode mix, containing amorphous carbon having an average particle diameter of 2-20 μm, acetylene black and polyvinylidene fluoride to a collector. The vacancy volume in the negative electrode mix layer is adjusted to 30-40%, with respect to the volume of the negative electrode mix layer.
