PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure both quality and productivity of an electrode coated by means of a rotary screen. SOLUTION: The electrode-manufacturing device comprises a coating liquid 3 containing electrode active material, a rotary screen 5 provided with an opening on its outer curved surface for coating the coating liquid 3 over the main surface of a strip base material 2, and squeegee blade 12 provided inside of the rotary screen to be in parallel to the direction of the rotation axis of the rotary screen 5 and to abut against the internal surface of the rotary screen 5, for pressing the inner surface of the rotary screen to extrude the covering liquid 3 onto the main surface of the strip base material 2 out of the opening of the rotary screen 5. The end face of the squeegee blade 12, slidingly abutting on the internal surface of the rotary screen 5, consists of a rubber member which has resistance properties for the sliding end surface. |
