PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a communication state by utilizing the cord of an earphone. SOLUTION: In radio communication equipment 1 which is provided with a dedicated built-in antenna 2 for performing radio communication and an RF circuit 3 with the antenna 2 connected thereto and to which the earphone 4 for listening to sound can be connected, the cord of the earphone 4 is connected to the RF circuit 3 in a high frequency manner to function an earphone cord antenna. The earphone cord antenna 8 is also in an operating state when the dedicated built-in antenna 2 is in an operating state. Since both the dedicated built-in antenna 2 and the earphone cord antenna 8 are driven in an operating state together, even when communication sensitivity of one of the dedicated built-in antenna 2 and the earphone cord antenna 8 deteriorates, for example, the deterioration can be prevented by the other antenna.
