<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch assembly to remove or reduce the generation of audibility noise due to self excitation during engagement or disengagement of clutch. <P>SOLUTION: The clutch assembly includes a hub having a hub friction surface and an inner surface which forms a cavity in association with each other. A damper member is situated in the cavity and makes contact with the hub friction surface. The damper member is rotatable to the hub, relative movement between a damper ring and the hub friction surface results in absorption of energy and dissipation of energy, and undesirable clutch vibration is minimized. The damper ring is situated in the clutch hub and no troublesome influence is produced on transmission packaging. The clutch assembly preferably includes a member formed such that lubrication oil is fed along the inside diameter of the damper member, and the lubricating oil flows between the damper ring and the hub friction surface and lubricates a clutch plate by passage through the hole of the hub. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
