A thrust plate and a scroll compressor having the same are provided to smoothly discharge chips generated by rotation of a rotation shaft, thereby making the rotation shaft rotate smoothly and removing abrasion caused by the chips. A thrust plate includes a radial bearing part(215) receiving and supporting a lower outer peripheral surface of a rotation shaft(147). A plate main body(222) is in the circular ring shape. A lower thrust bearing part(217) has a thrust bearing part for supporting a thrust surface(149) of the rotation shaft. A chip discharging part(225) is cut from an inner diameter surface of the plate main body in a radial direction.
