<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emitting element which is capable of emitting electrons uniformly, of which manufacturing process is simple, and which can be manufactured at low cost, and to provide a display device which has the electron emitting element and is capable of improving uniformity between pixels, and a manufacturing method of the electron emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: The electron emitting element 101 is provided with a first substrate 110, a cathode electrode 120 and an electron emission source arranged on the first substrate 110, a gate electrode 140 arranged so as to be electrically insulated from the cathode electrode 120, an insulator layer 130 which is arranged between the cathode electrode 120 and the gate electrode 140 and insulates the cathode electrode 120 and the gate electrode 140, and a resistance layer 125 which is arranged so as to contact the cathode electrode 120 and contains semiconductor carbon nanotubes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
