A hollow fiber membrane module enabling the simplification of its structure and the recycling of its housing and a method of manufacturing the hollow fiber membrane module. The hollow fiber membrane module (100) comprises a plurality of hollow fiber membranes (11), a hollow fiber membrane unit (10) having a first sealingly fixing part (12) and a second sealingly fixing part (13) sealingly fixing both end parts of these hollow fiber membranes (11) so that the inside of the hollows thereof can be opened and formed so that the outer wall surfaces of these sealingly fixing parts can be exposed, and the housing (20) in which the hollow fiber membrane unit (10) is stored. The housing (20) comprises first ports (22a) and (23a) forming flow passages led to the inside of the hollows of the hollow fiber membranes (11) and second ports (21a) and (21b) forming flow passages led to the outer wall surface side of the hollow fiber membranes (11). The hollow fiber membrane unit (10) is characterized in that it is formed detachable from the housing (20). |
