PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dynamic adjustments of video recording time and related apparatus for solving various problems in the related art. SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of (a) receiving a data signal related to a program including a plurality of video frames and commercial frames that are alternately broadcasted, (b) storing the data signal from the predetermined starting time, (c) comparing video/audio characteristics between a first video frame broadcasted before the reference commercial among a plurality of commercials and a second video frame broadcasted immediately after the reference commercial, and (d) stopping storage of the data signal when difference in the video/audio characteristics between the first video frame and the second video frame exceeds the predetermined value.
