PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of processing image data in real time, a lens unit, and the camera body. SOLUTION: The camera comprises the camera body 3, the lens unit 5 which is attachable/detachable to/from the camera body 3 and forms the image of a subject, an imaging means 7 of photographing the image of the subject and converting it into electrical image information, an image processing means 10 of processing the image information obtained by the imaging means 7, and an image processing means 19 of processing the image information obtained by the imaging means 7, in matching with the characteristics of the lens unit 5. The image processing means 10 is provided to the camera body 3, and the image processing means 19 is provided to the lens unit 5 mutually capable of being coupled to the image processing means 10.
