An apparatus and a method for reproducing data of a recording medium are provided to maximize life time of a product by minimizing operation which requires high power consumption in reproducing data. A method for reproducing data of a recording medium comprises: a step(S10) reproducing data of a recording medium in a data reproduce equipment; a step for determining the shortage of a battery of the data reproduce equipment; a step for storing the data, read in the recording medium, in a storage medium in case the remaining amount of the battery is insufficient; and a step(S110) reproducing the data stored in the storage medium.
