PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel which can easily attach a stopper cushioning material for absorbing the shock in adjusting the tilt telescope to a required position and can improve its shock absorbing ability. SOLUTION: The steering wheel is composed of a movable bracket 1 having adjusting elongated holes 13 on both its sides in the direction of width, a fixed bracket 2, a locking shaft 5 for supporting the movable bracket 1 on the fixed bracket 2 by inserting it into both of the adjusting elongated holes 13, a collar member 6 which is pivotally supported in the movable bracket 1 by means of the locking shaft 5, and can move together with the locking shaft 5 forward and backward, and the stopper cushioning material 8 which is mounted in the movable bracket 1 and on both side portions of the adjusting elongated holes 13, and has surfaces 811 to be brought into contact with the collar member 6. When the stopper cushioning material 8 is in contact with the collar member 6, the surfaces 811 to be brought into contact of the stopper cushioning material 8 is brought into contact with the collar member 6 from both end portions in the direction of the width.
