PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit which never makes a CPU execute unneeded reset action, even if cross regulation deteriorates by a rush current being generated. SOLUTION: The power supply unit 2 is equipped with: the first DC stabilizing power supply circuit 20 which supplies power to a controller 19 having a CPU191 equipped with a reset circuit 190 for outputting a reset signal when power supply voltage V1 drops under a specified threshold voltage Vs; the second DC stabilizing power supply circuit 21 which supplies power to a group of loads driven by the controller 19 and supplies them with output supply voltage V2 higher than the output voltage V1 of the first DC stabilizing power supply circuit 20; and a safety switch 22 which switches the power supply state to the group of loads from the second DC stabilizing power supply circuit 21.
