INFORMATION TRANSMISSION SYSTEM, RECEIVER, DATA DECODING METHOD, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND DATA STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of times of computation in decoding by efficiently computing simultaneous equations whose coefficient is a generator matrix having a coarse region and a dense region. SOLUTION: In the information transmission system provided with a transmitter 1 for transmitting coded data w for which defect compensation coding of information data u is executed using the generator matrix A and the receiver 2 for executing the defect compensation coding of the received coded data w using the generator matrix A and taking out the information data u, the receiver 2 is provided with a storage means 22 for storing the generator matrix A separately for the coarse region A1 where the rows of small weight are gathered and the dense region A2 where the rows of large weight are gathered, and a computation means 22 for computing a part of the information data u which can be computed using the coarse region A1 in advance and then computing the remaining unknown information data u using the dense region A2.
