A method for starting an embedded system. The method comprises: locally loading an image file of a microkernel to a memory, and booting the microkernel (S10); mounting a file system of a storage card after the microkernel is booted successfully, and loading an image file of a new kernel from the storage card to the memory after the file system is mounted successfully (S20); and booting the new kernel after the new kernel is loaded successfully (S30). An apparatus for starting an embedded system comprises a first boot module, a second boot preparation module and a second boot module. |
