PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated wire having an insulating layer excellent in adhesion with a conductor, and heat resistance and water repellency.SOLUTION: An insulated wire includes a linear conductor and an insulating layer covering the outer peripheral surface of the conductor. The insulating layer contains a fluorine resin as a main component, and has a chemical bond between the fluorine resin and the outer peripheral surface of the conductor. The conductor may have a coating film containing a coupling agent on the outer peripheral surface. The coupling agent may be a silane-based coupling agent having a functional group containing a nitrogen atom or a sulfur atom. A peeling adhesive strength between the insulating layer and the conductor is preferably 100 mN/mm or more. A contact angle with pure water of the outer peripheral surface of the insulating layer is preferably 80° or more and 120°or less. An average thickness of the insulating layer is preferably 10 μm or more and 100 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
