PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator which prevents the breakage of a connector portion and the like, and improves workability, in work for removing the electromagnetic actuator from an engine.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic actuator 101 is equipped with a body 401; a connector portion 45; and projection portions 51-54, in addition to an electromagnetic drive portion and an actuating portion. A part of the body 401 configures an outer shell of an exposing portion positioned on the outside of an engine when attached to the engine. The connector portion 45 projects out from the body 401 at the exposing portion, and connects wiring to the electromagnetic drive portion. The projecting portions 51-54 are provided at positions which are different from the connector portion 45 in a circumferential direction of a side wall 42 of the body 401, and have clearances with an installing surface in an axial direction, and project outward in a diametrical direction of the side wall 42. In work for removing the electromagnetic actuator 101 from the engine, a worker hooks fingers to the projecting portions 51-54, and can easily grip the body 401.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
