The device has a light guide (108) having an input linking interface for coupling light into the light guide and an output surface for coupling the light from light guide. The light guide in the installed state of display device in the region of coupling-out from the viewpoint of occupant (105) is transparent. A holographic projection (102) connected over an area with the output surface, in the installed state of display device as seen by the occupant is transparent. The projection is formed in order to generate a display (228) for occupant from the light guide to uncoupled light. An independent claim is included for method for generating display in field of view of occupant of vehicle such as passenger car and truck. |
