PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope expander providing good controllability and allowing an operator to easily determine the amount of expansion and safely expand a stenosis, etc. SOLUTION: A plurality of cuts 2 are formed parallel to an axis in the sidewall portion of a flexible tube 1 near its front end and strips 3 are formed between the cuts 2. An outwardly projecting curve is imparted to each strip 3 without forming folds circumferentially, and an operating member 4 is passed into the tube 1 in such a manner as to be capable of moving back and forth axially, with the front end of the operating member 4 locked to the front end of the tube 1. By pulling the operating member 4 from its at-hand side, the strips 3 are expanded outwards without bending, at least within a predetermined range. |
