Desired is a fixing member that may properly fixes even a cylindrical object having a little tolerance without damaging the object. The fixing member includes a base, and a pair of holding supports that are installed on the base part. Each of the holding supports includes a fitting support that is in contact with the object to insertedly support the object, and a head that is installed on an opposite side to a side on which the base exists, with respect to the fitting support. The fitting support and the head are configured such that stiffness of the fitting support against deformation granted by the fixing member is smaller than stiffness of the head against the corresponding deformation. A distance from the base to an end of the holding support on a surface perpendicular to the axial direction of the object is determined according to tolerance defined in the object, and an interval between a pair of heads when an external force is not granted by the fastening member is determined according to stress allowable to the object. |
