REINFORCEMENT METHOD OF CULVERT

The present invention relates to a method of reinforcing a culvert capable of safely supporting a culvert upper load and securing water supply performance by reinforcing an upper slab by applying pre-stressing force to a reinforcing material positioned at a lower portion of the upper slab of the culvert to minimize an increase in the thickness of an upper slab. The method of reinforcing a culvert for reinforcing a culvert including a lower slab, an upper slab, and a side wall connecting both side ends of the lower slab and the upper slab includes: a step (a) of installing a plurality of hydraulic jacks at an upper portion of the center of the lower slab of the culvert in the longitudinal direction of the culvert and installing a support between a hydraulic jack and the upper slab to support the upper slab; a step (b) of forming rise in the center of the upper slab by pressurizing the support by performing jack-up on the hydraulic jack; and a step (c) of installing a reinforcing material which is a tendon so that both ends thereof at a lower portion of the upper slab are mounted on both ends in a lateral direction and applying pre-stressing force to a reinforcing material by removing the rise of the upper slab by lowering the hydraulic jack.
