The present invention relates to a touch panel using a sapphire substrate as a window and a manufacturing method thereof. The touch panel includes a transparent electrode pattern on a sapphire substrate, wherein the transparent electrode pattern is made of an Ag alloy thin film in which one or two or more selected from Fe, Cr, and Mo are added to Ag, thereby simplifying a structure of a transparent electrode thin film forming the touch panel to reduce a manufacturing cost while increasing light transmissivity.
