A motor driving apparatus comprises: an AC-to-DC conversion unit which rectifies alternating current (AC) power supplied from an external AC power source; a direct current (DC) connection unit which stabilizes a voltage rectified by the AC-to-DC conversion unit; and a DC-to-AC conversion unit which receives a DC voltage from the DC connection unit to provide the AC power to a motor. The DC connection unit includes a pair of film capacitors which remove a ripple of the rectified voltage. The DC-to-AC conversion unit is able to include a three level inverter which receives the DC voltage from the pair of film capacitors, supplying the AC power to the motor.
