The present invention relates to an automatic geometric correction performing method and a device thereof which project hidden points periodically or in accordance with a need of a user even when a panorama image is projected after initial screen calibration to generate a distortion correction function for geometric correction. The method comprises the following steps of: setting at least one hidden point in an overlapping region of projection regions of a plurality of projectors; projecting the set hidden point together with a panorama image; obtaining a projection image of the hidden point; and generating a distortion correction function based on the projection image of the hidden point.
