<p>In the region of the recording and/or playback unit where the outer limiting face, rotating with a larger radius than the cylinder radius, of a magnetic head (6) secured to the head wheel (5) encounters the tape (1) wound round the cylinder (3) at the start of the scanning movement there are devices which lift the tape radially over the outer shell of the cylinder. They lift it so far that the direction of the starting tape is approximately a tangent to the arc described by the outer limiting face of the magnetic head. Where the tape scan ends the tape can be guided on the outer limiting face radius until the direction of the terminating tape is a tangent to the arc mentioned.</p> |
