Noise deadening railway coach floor - has service cables and ducts held by plastics foam in hollow profiles forming carrier plate

The noise-resonance reducing floor for use in vehicles is esp. applicable to railway rolling-stock. It comprises a corrugated sheet metal plate, with underside connected to the cross-bearer on the underframe together with a number of hollow profile units running individually lengthways, to accommodate cables and ducts. The hollow profiles (3) are mounted on the corrugated sheet (1). Their abutting surfaces (7, 8) have a tongue and groove type profiling (9) to form a carrier plate, and the cables (10) and other ducts are held in position in the hollow profiles by foam filling.
