摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain a particulate collecting material having characteristics suitable for collecting particulate in a high temp. engine exhaust gas by laminating plural ceramic porous body forming a three-dimensional net like structure having internally communicated spaces. CONSTITUTION:To the inflow side A of an engine exhaust gas, a ceramic porous body 1 of which internally communicated spaces are coarse is arranged and, to the outflow side of the engine exhaust gas, a ceramic porous body 1 of which internally communicated spaces are dense is arranged. In this structure, the engine exhaust gas is passed through internally communicated spaces forming an exhaust gas passage from the ceramic porous body 1 of which internally communicated spaces are coarse toward the ceramic porous body 1' of which internally communicated spaces are dense. In addition, the aforementioned ceramic porous bodies 1, 1' have 6-150 of internally communicated spaces per one inch as well as as bulk specific gravity thereof is in a range of 0.25-0.5.</p>
