Automatic cereal-inflow regulation for a cereal-cleaning machine

Located next to the feed roller (4), Figure 2 and Figure 3 of the drawing, is the so-called feed flap (5), Figure 3, which is loaded by the weight of a lever arm and which has to be opened approximately 20 to 40 mm according to the type of cereal and the power of the machine, so that the cereal can fall in a uniform stream through the vertical sifter onto the screening unit. In a change of cereal, because of the different apparent weight of the individual types of crop, the feed flap has to be reset repeatedly by hand and readjusted during the cleaning process. This is no longer necessary with the automatic mechanism. <IMAGE>
