A rotation device (16) on a launched munition (11) which falls into a target area braked by a parachute (12), such as, in particular, a submunition (11) with a search fuze, which searches especially the target area while falling in a spiral shape, looking for a target object to be engaged, is intended to be implemented with a small structure and in a structurally simple manner, said implementation allowing design specifications for the rotational movement kinematics within wide limits. For this purpose, the cable (20) by means of which the munition (11) is supported by the parachute (12) is designed to unreel a length of cable from a spool former (22) constructed in the munition structure (23), with a hinge point (24) of the cable (20) pulled off the spool former (22), which hinge point is located eccentrically with respect to the munition axis (15) and rotates in a cross-sectional plane of said munition structure (23). The radial position of the hinge point (24) determines the inclination of the munition axis (14) with respect to the vertical (15), and the support of the hinge point (24) against the friction rotating arm (27) determines the magnitude of the tumbling-rotating movement of the munition (11). The movement of the rotating arm (27) relative to the munition structure (23) can at the same time be used for generating dynamo-electrical energy, as a consequence of the cable (20) unreeling. <IMAGE>
