A coilformer has an excitation coil fitted on a guide sleeve in a housing. A magnet armature is also provided in the assembly. At one front side of the housing is fitted a magnetic core, against which the armature is attracted against the force of a resetting spring. Through the core protrudes a switching pin, movable by the armature. It carries a support with a contact bridge. The main current contact (13,14) has at least one contact section (16), inclined between 25 and 60 deg. to the switch longitudinal axis. The section has at least one rounded location as a contact surface (17). The longitudinal axes of the main current contacts are also inclined to the switch longitudinal axis in a single plane. The latter extends radially through the switch long axis. The contact bridge (33) is round.
