A machine for removing, mixing and distributing animal fodder consists of a mixing chamber (3), at the bottom of which are two sets of transverse rods (16, 18) connected to two chains (13, 17) respectively running around chain wheels (14, 19). An overhead telescopic arm (6, 7) is hydraulically operated to swing up or down about an axle at the upper rear of the chamber (3), and at the end of the arm (7) is a cutting shield (8) which chops down into a silage stack and draw it into the mixing chamber (3) where it is mixed and discharged through a side hatch.
