A slicing machine (1) comprises a circular knife (8), an adjustable stop plate (9), a cutting-product slide (5) preferably driven by a motor, an automatic cutting-product advancing device, a first actuating device (37) for adjusting the stop plate as a function of a desired cutting thickness (slice thickness), and a second actuating device (7) coupled to the first and intended for adjusting the cutting-product advancing path on the cutting-product slide (5) as a function of a desired cutting thickness (slice thickness).
