<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a can body, and improve the anti-retort property by a method wherein the number of constituent unit surfaces in the peripheral direction, the maximum inner radius of the can body, the thickness of the can body, the elasticity modulus and yield stress of the can body material, and a ratio of the height for areas other than polyhedron walls per the can height are set within a specified range. CONSTITUTION:On at least one part of a can body 10, a peripheral state polyhedron walls, which are constituted of constituent unit surfaces 1, border ridges 2 at which the constituent unit surfaces 1 come into contact to each other, and intersections 3 at which the border ridges 2 cross to each other, are formed, and the border ridges 2 and intersections 3 are relatively projected to the outside of the can, comparing to the constituent unit surfaces 1, and adjacent can axial direction rows are arranged with a phase difference in the peripheral direction of the constituent unit surface 1. When it is taken that the number of the constituent unit surfaces 1 in the peripheral direction is (n), the can body inner radius is (r)mm, the can body inner thickness is (t)mm, the elasticity modulus of the can body material is (E)kg/mm<2>, the yield stress is deltaykg/mm<2>, and the ratio of the height for the areas other than the polyhedron walls per the can height is (alpha), (n), (t) and (alpha) are set so that they satisfy the equation I and equation II.</p> |
