PURPOSE:To constitute the measuring instrument so that the reference light quantity in a reference distance is stored before executing a range finding operation by the remote control light quantity, in order that the range finding can be precisely executed even if a power supply voltage of a remote control transmitter drops or the performance of a light emitting part is deteriorated. CONSTITUTION:A signal light from a light projecting part 11 corresponding to a distance of a remote control transmitter and a camera is photodetected in advance by a light receiving part 12, and its light quantity is detected by a light quantity detecting part 13, and thereafter, stored in a storage part 16. Subsequently, a distance leading-out part 14 operates the distance of the remote control transmitter and the camera, based on a light quantity value of the signal light stored in the storage part 16, and a light quantity signal corresponding to the signal light, and a photographic lens drive control part 15 drives a photographic lens in accordance with the measured distance. |
